BED

I thought the solid rectangular structure of this bed would be a good fit as a basic for a southwestern contemporary bedroom, in which to build off of. With the short solid legs and cutouts throughout, it creates a more contemporary look.

AREA RUG

I was waiting for the perfect opportunity to use this rug and I think there couldn’t be a better fit to tie in the entire look of this southwestern contemporary design style bedroom. I like how that black contrasts with the lighter shade of the edges without dominating and the light browns and greys throughout.

SIDE TABLE

The overall look of this night stand definitely gives off mid century modern vibes, however I thought it would be a great fit to bridge the gap and create a nice balance for this southwestern contemporary bedroom. I love the color of the wood and think it fits nicely with the other wood throughout.

TABLE LAMP

This table lamp is definitely on the more traditional side and less contemporary in shape. With the rectangular woven shade and the weathered wood, it lends the traditional element while the hammered black metal gives a contemporary appearance that ties in to the darkness of the rug.

WINDOW TREATMENT

These olive green window treatments add complimentary tones that plants usually provide. It’s a great way to simulate the aesthetic while not having to worry about taking care of plants or purchasing faux ones. If you decide to add some potted plants, it will make the look even better.

BENCH

I switched out the design of this bench a couple times and ended up finding this one, which I love. It has just the right balance for this southwestern contemporary design with it’s thick wooden legs and simple, upholstered seat.

THROW BLANKET

This UO throw adds dimension with it’s different levels of texture. This throw has a combination of shaggy and woven textures that create the completed look of this design.

THROW PILLOWS

Simple, clean striped lines combined with traditional southwestern patterns helped to create a lighter palette to juxtapose the darkness of the woods throughout.

DRESSER

I am a forever fan of walnut. This gorgeous dresser with simple, clean lines and dark tones seemed perfect for a southwestern contemporary bedroom.

ACCESSORIES

I really love pottery in southwestern inspired designs. This set has a rustic appearance with colors that tie in nicely with the complete design.
