VANITY

For a southwestern contemporary design, I wanted to find something in a dark wood tone with a solid crafted appearance, yet with a contemporary touch. The combination of the walnut with the white porcelain basin is a perfect combination.

MIRROR

For the mirror, I wanted something simplistic with clean lines that would match the style of the vanity. I felt this mirror coincides nicely with the vanity and the rest of the design.

FAUX PLANT

I wanted to keep with the same theme for the plants throughout this design collection. This faux cactus plant with it’s bright green color adds an earthy tone that will break up the wood tones seen throughout. The pot provides the contemporary element to this overall look.

ACCESSORIES

I really like that this set comes with the solid wood walnut tray, which adds a layer of dimension as well as provides function. The glass design and wooden tops provide the southwestern and contemporary design to complete the look.

LAUNDRY BASKET

The southwestern contemporary design style often has woven elements, clay and terra cotta. I wanted to find a laundry bin that would incorporate one of these elements while still keeping the design contemporary. This basket provides both factors of southwestern and contemporary for this bathroom design.

TOWELS

So as not to go overboard with pattern, I found simple white towels that have light gray stripes running through. It helps to compliment the shower curtain as well as the bath mat.

BATH MAT

To incorporate black into this color palette, I decided to go with a black bath mat. Bath mats often pick up the most staining and this simple black and cream southwestern print will help to provide cover for that.

BATH CURTAIN

With gray stripes, some tassels at the base and a large off-white expanse throughout, I thought this shower curtain would be perfect to keep the design contemporary as well as allow for some color or art on the walls to compliment the wood throughout.
