The challenge with this event was to create an event set up that would translate from a “Galentine’s Day Brunch” to a surprise Proposal Dinner. The surprise was not only for the soon to be bride, but for the guests as well. Everything had to be perfectly planned down to the last detail.

Color Inspo for Proposal Dinner

For the colors, we wanted to do pinks and purples, but very dark and saturated. We selected colors in blush, magenta, rose gold, plums, lilacs, and indigo. We popped in some white accents to break up the hues, as well as some greenery to tie all of the colors together.

Table Setup for Proposal Dinner

For the charger plates, we found these beautiful metallic, blush colored plates with a modern striped/scalloped edge. For the dinner and dessert plates, we chose a white pebbled look that we broke up with a blush colored napkin in between. For the menus on top, we made these custom and chose a dark purple to bring all of the colors together.

Centerpiece for Proposal Dinner

For the centerpieces, we didn’t want to have anything that was too high since guests would be seated on either side of the table. This centerpiece is made up of three glass jars – two short cylindrical clear ones on the end and a large round , shorter clear one in the center. We added tea light candles and votives throughout the play with the heights.

Balloon Garland for Proposal Dinner

All pink and purple with dark undertones was our main goal for the balloon garland. To achieve this look, we did double stuffing with black balloons. We chose metallic for the purple and lighter pink balloons, with a matte look for the magenta in between, to create contrast and depth. We popped in matching flowers throughout to tie the entire setup together with the table décor.

Printables for Proposal Dinner

The large sign that is part of the backdrop and the round menus on the table were created custom for this proposal dinner set up. The challenge was to create a graphic that would translate from a “Galentine’s Brunch” to a full on wedding proposal dinner. We thought the phrase “Love You Like XO” would be perfect to bridge the gap. The font is a casual script and the flowers tie into the main theme.

The Proposal ♥

Despite the challenges, this proposal dinner was so much fun to plan for. The colors were unique and came together nicely with the rest of the decor. If you’d like to see more of what we do, you can find Four Pack Parties on Instagram. We’re available for hire in the NJ PA DE tristate area.

Love♥Always,
