See below for a description of each item I chose and why it works for this design style. Scroll to the end to shop this image and find out where each item is from and the cost.
BED
I chose this bed because of the simplistic style of the frame. It’s a contemporary yet eclectic approach to a traditional tufted headboard, with it’s upholstered velvet appearance.
DUVET
This duvet provides a beautiful contrast to the subtle lines of the headboard. With it’s “wet” velvet appearance in a diamond shape, it provides layers and intrigue to the overall look.
NIGHT STAND
My favorite part of this nightstand is the subtle pink hue of the glass. The shape of the glass and the cylindrical stand underneath are shapes that work really well together.
AREA RUG
This area rug was so gorgeous I had to include it. You won’t find it in the widget down below so I’ll just put the link here . The combination of the colors, shape and different style elements within the rug itself provides a well thought out eclectic look while not being overly busy and the colors compliment the palette very well.
SHEETS
I really wanted to go with a washed linen look for the sheets to provide a warm, neutral, “lived in” appearance to compliment the lux of the velvet from the duvet and headboard.
LAMP
I felt this piece was very fresh and unique and the colors help to tie it in with the rest of the selected items.
DRESSER
For the dresser, I wanted a piece that would work well with the eclectic pieces throughout while not overdoing it on the gold. I like the black drawers and light wood encasement to keep this piece interesting but light.
WALL ART
This collection of African handwoven grass baskets provide a bright statement of color and pattern that will not overwhelm a space and can easily add intrigue to plain walls.
MIRROR
The diluted art deco appearance of this mirror provides height and structure while lending a little bit of lux and beautiful bronze colors.
PLANTERS
With their abstract, human like appearance, these handcrafted ceramic pieces act almost like small sculptures which I think work perfectly with the overall look of this design style.
THROW PILLOWS
I wanted a collection of pillows that provided texture, a blend of complimentary colors, and a wet vs dry look. I think all of these pieces work really well together while still providing a very interesting eclectic look.
STOOL
This stool provides beautiful color while simultaneously serving multiple purposes for sitting or using as a table without taking up a lot of space. Overall, it’s a very versatile piece.
